This is quite funny although I wanted to see how it loaded onto my blog. Not really for the kids though this one.

Up Early

I managed to do it this morning, get up early that is and go for a run 7am 6am UK time of course. It was nice and fresh a little cool with the shorts and t-shirts but of course it warmed up nicely. I ran to the ski hire shop and back which took 61 minutes, I would have swarn that it was quicker the second half I felt as though I was running like my old self. The good news the Achilles didnt hurt at the beginning of the run which gives me confidence for the Malaga Half Marathon this Sunday. I think the plan will be to take it easy and push it for the last 5 km if I make it that far!!

Exhibition by Polish artist Igor Mitoraj

Yesterday was the last day of the exhibition by Polish artist Igor Mitoraj and as Conchita had not had the chance to see the exhibiton we made a hasty visit to the centre. In fact just in time as they were beginning to pack the sculptures away, no mean feat! 

An update

Things seem to be going very well at present the sun is shinning, which does help. I did make the mistake of going for a run though at lunchtime again, it just got a little warm after about half an hour. What really pleased me was the Achilles seemed to stand the stress, as it isn’t hurting anymore and I managed to do an hours worth of running with the added benefit of losing a bit more weight, cannot all be bad. Our running friends are trying to persuade me still, to do this Malaga half Marathon the following Sunday, which I must admit I am not sure about although I did manage to keep running for 2 and half hours a couple of weeks ago. I just do not want to finish the race in the same condition of the Lisbon half marathon. Still on the subject of running the athletics stadium which is about 200 yards away is being resurfaced just in time for my comeback, I here you say not again!! But to be honest I am really committed to this not sure which event but the 1500 meters seems a logical choice. So watch this space for updates. In regards to the rest of the family all seems to be going well, although Africa and school isn’t getting the best results, the worst of it all is she only got an average in English and she is fluent I ask you!

Africa's Running Trophy

Maybe now Africa has won a Trophy in Running she may take it more seriously, who knows but I am sure the Trophy will help. As you can see Africa is very pleased it's bigger than any I have every one. Africa won this in the Xmas race round Granada sorry it has taken so long to put on the web.   

If Only !!!

Well I practice most days on the guitar but after seeing this I realised how far I have to go. Mind you tempted to get an electric guitar, not sure what Conchi or the neighbor's would say!!
